Searching for Virginia Dare released in new edition

Ten years after the first paperback edition of Searching for Virginia Dare came out from Coastal Carolina Press, Press 53 has just brought out a revised edition with 33 pages of my ongoing travels and research in Rome, London, and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Virginia Dare lives! Thanks, Press 53, for believing in this book and keeping it in print.

For those obsessed with book covers: yes, this cover art, like that of Accidental Birds of the Carolinas, features a Chatham County artist friend. This one uses art from “Doc’s Red Truck,” by Sally Sutton. The road is a two-lane near my farm. The truck belongs to my doctor. The road is now a four-lane. Everything changes!
